Ureteroscopic lithotripsy (URSL)
What is ureteroscopy?
Ureteroscopy (U.R.S.) is the preferred method for treating small and medium-sized kidney stones in any part of the urinary tract.
Procedure
This procedure is usually performed with the patient under general anesthesia (sleeping).
In this procedure, a ureteroscope is inserted through the urethra and bladder into the ureter (a tube that carries urine from the kidney to the bladder) or kidney.
